Disney Day Two - Magic in the Morning

Day two started early. We had breakfast reservations for 8:00 at Magic Kingdom. Translation - catch the 7:15 am bus or else. We did make the bus and arrived at the park in plenty of time. The park officially opened at 9:00 that day. It is always so nice to be let into the Magic Kingdom with just a handful of other people. It is such a peaceful experience to stroll down Main Street while gazing at the castle without a hundred other people running over you with their strollers. The breakfast was at Crystal Palace and featured the characters from Winnie the Pooh.

We left breakfast just prior to rope drop. Our schedule said this was going to be a fantasyland morning. However, Max had other plans. He insisted on "riding the planets" first. Translation - Astro Orbitor in Tomorrowland. So we headed off to Tomorrowland. As always we were done with Tomorrowland in time for Toontown to open. Goofy's Barnstormer (roller coaster) here we come. Max didn't get chosen to ride with Goofy in the same car but did make the same coaster train. That is always fun. Once we rode Barnstormer three times in a row with no wait we headed over to Mickey's house to see the mouse himself.

We wrapped up Magic Kingdom day one by taking the train to Frontierland. We jumped on Big Thunder Mountain and hit Pirates on our way out of the park.

We transferred from Magic Kingdom to Epcot via the Monorail. What a fun mode of transportation, it is like a ride in and of itself. While in Epcot we picked up all the rides we had missed on day one and made sure to stop by Ice Station Cool to sample Coca Cola products from around the world. We had dinner reservations at Coral Reef. We picked it as a nicer restaurant for us and it has a 10 foot high aquarium tank as one wall that we figured would be interesting for Max. Max made it to the table, looked at the fish, grabbed his colors in one hand and passed out. Notice the Stingray and Starfish above Max's head. He slept through the whole meal and didn't wake up until we were outside and about to enter our next ride. We finished out Epcot and headed back to our room for some much needed rest.
