Peter Piper Pizza Grand Opening

A Peter Piper Pizza just opened close to our house. Max absolutely loves this place. We usually meet Daddy on Wednesdays for the lunch buffet and to play games. This past week they had their official grand opening and Max had a blast.

Pics - Max playing all his favorite games.

Autisitc Moment - insisting on counting all the tickets before putting them in the ticket counter.

ER Tour

Max and I signed up for a tour of a local stand alone emergency room. The tour was informative but very hands off which was hard on Max. He would much rather touch all the fun tools than hear about them.

Pics - Promotional Hummer, X-Ray of broken elbow, Teddy Bear gets a catscan

Autistic Moment of the tour - me whispering to Max when he would ask me something and him getting upset that I wouldn't talk louder. He was almost in tears saying Mommy talk louder in the truck (which means when we leave here), he recovered once I agreed.

T-Ball Game

Today Max went to watch his friends play T-ball. After he got over the dissapointment of having to watch and not play he had a great time.
He was allowed in their dugout and even tried on a hat. He will want to play next year for sure.
After the game we went to eat pizza - one of Max's favorites and Mommy's too.

VBS Week

This week Max is attending Vacation Bible School at our church. This years theme is Avalanche Ranch (western). Max is having a great time. I am working with the older kiddos doing crafts. Every time I see Max in the hallway he tells me to get back to my room. He doesn't want me interfering with all his fun. Here are a few pics taken by my friend Wendilee.

Cabana Boy

Max visited his first waterpark today - Hawaiian Falls. It was a perfect day for our family to go with our fair skin. It rained for a little while in the morning and stayed overcast all day. We rented a cabana for Father's Day and Max was living it up. He really had a great time and played in every area that he was allowed to go. Here are some pics from the cabana, the water pictures will have to be developed because we had an underwater camera.

More Books More Clowns

Yesterday we went back to the Library to see the clowns from Ringling Brothers. We have tickets for the circus in August so I thought it would be a good preview. Max thought the clowns were hilarious. He is so into physical comedy. We arrived fifteen minutes early to the show and got the last two tickets. Whew, close one!
After the clown show we turned in Max's reading log and he received his first prize - a ticket to the circus. We are giving it to friends since we had already bought tickets but the pleasure was in receiving the award and getting the passport stamped. On our way out of the library he had to make sure he posed next to the reading boy statue. We finished off the day at Music class, his favorite activity of the week.

Birthday Party and a Big Green Bear

Today Max went to a friend from school's birthday party. The party was at a gymnastics center and Max had a blast. He bounced in the bounce house, jumped on the trampoline, walked the balance beam, hula hooped, and even swung on the rings.

Jumping and Freeze Dancing

After the birthday party we headed over to Family Christian Store to meet Boz the Bear. Max was so excited. He kept pointing to him saying its Boz, its Boz, is it Max's turn? Fortunately we didn't have to wait long for Max's turn and he ran up and gave him a big hug and then a high five. We finished off the day at Max's favorite restaurant, Chick-fil-a, where he had his mandatory vanilla milkshake and plenty of play time.

Clean Teeth and Mother Goose

Today was Max's first successful Dentist visit. We tried to have his teeth cleaned last summer but were only able to get one tooth cleaned. He did great today and the dentist and staff were wonderful with him. Here he is showing off his clean teeth.

After the dentist we went to the Frisco Library and met Mother Goose. Max had a good time hearing her rhymes and singing her songs.
We finished off the day with a trip to Walmart where Max likes to be the Scanner at the self checkout lane and then to the take and bake pizza place where he loves to direct them making our pizza.

Books and a Clown

Today Max and I went to the Bon Voyage Party at the Allen Library to kick off the summer reading program. Max had a great time playing all the games and participating in all the crafts.

Picture Descriptions: Showing off his hat craft, cheating at limbo, getting the shell he found in the sand, chillin in the big people library.

After the library we went to see a Ronald McDonald Show and go on a behind the scenes tour of our local McDonald's. Max enjoyed the show with a few sensory overload moments. We skipped the tour because the place was a madhouse and we had already done one tour previously.

Autistic moments of the day: Library - had to count the nine bubbles in the end of each bookcase (seen above in hat photo). McDonald's show - would not sit alone had to be in my lap, overwhelmed by people cheering and bit my arm, had to place hands over ears when too loud, cried repeatedly when there was something wet (hopefully water) inside the play equipment - never got wet himself.

Pictures at the Park

Max and I were invited to go to the park with our photographer friend. She asked everyone to wear white so that she could experiment with her camera. She takes wonderful pictures. Here is her website
http://www.true-life-photography.com. These are some of my favorites. Max had a great time playing with his friends and eating his picnic lunch.
