Peanut Butter Beard?

So the playdate started out normal enough, planting seeds. Max chose sunflower seeds and is hoping they will grow.

Then out comes the peanut butter to make a peanut butter beard. Max and I had discussed it prior to arriving and he was quite hesitant. Mean Mommy pushing through autistic barriers made him do it to overcome sensory issues. He reluctantly participated but couldn't wait to clean it all off. I was very proud of him, a few years ago this would have resulted in many tears. In fact only one other kiddo at the playdate would do it.

Beach Club

We had some great friends invite us to the Stonebridge Beach Club. Very nice since they discontinued the free guest Thursdays. Max always has a blast at the Beach Club. Thanks Ms. Katy.

Painting Playdate

We went over to the neighbors house for a painting playdate. They had all kinds of painting activities: bubbles, magnets, balls, and even worms.

Texas Chocolate

This is what happens when you try to eat a candy bar in the Texas heat. Fortunately we were in Daddy's car.

Making Pretzels

Auntie Anne's pretzels in Willow Bend Mall had a make your own pretzel day. Couldn't pass up the chance to do that.

After pretzel making, Max insisted on staying to play. What a surprise when Deuce showed up.

Building Yoda

When our local Lego store opened you could go build R2D2 and Max had a good time so when I found out that the Dallas store was opening and you could build Yoda how could we not go. We were there right when they opened and Max built three blocks, met the master builder, and posed with various Lego props.

Pizza Playdate

We went to a neighborhood playdate where each child got to make their own pizza. Max's was cheese and bread, no sauce.

Old Dogs New Tricks

Max loves teaching his grandpas.

Cows Again

We couldn't miss the yearly tradition of dressing like a cow for free food. This year we only made it to breakfast and lunch.

When Daddy's Away

When Daddy is out of town we try to say goodnight on Skype.
