Disney on Ice - Celebrations

We took Max and his friend to see Disney on Ice. This year's theme was Celebrations. It was a great show complete with all kinds of characters.

We ended the night at Sprinkles.

Max in the Money Machine

For selling a ton of cookie dough in the school fundraiser Max won a trip in the money machine. He only had ten seconds and only caught a couple of dollars but each winner was guaranteed $10. He was so excited to get to go. He had set his goal to sell enough for the money machine and did it on his own.

Where the Wild Things Are

The first grade performed a musical interpretation of the book Where the Wild Things Are. Max loves this book (probably because the main character is named Max). Max was assigned the part of ocean and got to play the glockenspiel.

Max Bungee

While visiting Papa we stopped by the local mall and found this bungee trampoline. Daredevil Max just had to try it out.

Visiting Papa

We spent the last half of Spring Break visiting Papa in Muskogee. He was on hospice care and getting very sick so we wanted to see him while he was still doing well. He didn't disappoint, he would get up everyday and act like nothing was wrong. It was like normal with the exception of his daily nurse visits.

Spring Break - Rainy Day

Our final day in Glen Rose was rainy so the boys filled their time playing video games.

Spring Break - Fossil Rim

Day three we traveled to Fossil Rim, a drive thru wildlife park. Max had a great time finding and feeding all the animals.

Spring Break - Glen Rose

After getting back from Fossil Rim the boys played outside and then we crossed the dam into Glen Rose. We played hard at Big Rocks Park and then stopped off for a snow cone.

Back at the farm we found an old school playground.

Spring Break - Dinosaurs

After milling about the farm we were on the search for dinosaurs. First stop Dinosaur World. It is an overpriced, cheesy, walk through plastic dinosaur park. In other words Max LOVED it.

After Dinosaur World we went to Dinosaur Valley State Park where they have real dinosaur track fossils to see. The riverbeds were flooded from all the rain we had received but there were still some tracks visible.

Spring Break - Life on the Farm

The next morning we were up with the roosters and walked over to the barn for breakfast.

Max's favorite stool.

The horse liked to poke her head in for breakfast.

After breakfast we stopped and fed some animals, brushed the horse, explored the property, and played a game of chess.
