Sometimes when Max gets home he asks to do science experiments. He always makes sure to wear his safety goggles.

Happy Half Birthday

When Max got home from school we had a present waiting for him.

Cupcake Catastrophe

Max's half birthday was on Friday. I told him I would bring him lunch and then I though I would surprise him with a cupcake critter. He loved the panda I got him but maybe a little too much. When it was time to eat him he just started eating the grass around him. I asked are you going to eat the panda and he said but he is so cute. Then the tears started flowing. I assured him he didn't have to eat the panda and he recovered. He said he wanted to keep him one day and then he would eat him. The next day when we tried again to eat the panda Max and Daddy looked at me like I was a murderer when I ate his ear and neither one would take a bite. Max started getting a little teary so I threw the panda away. Note to self: no cute animal cakes for Max.

Cupid Shuffle

Every week at the morning assembly they have a movement song. This week was the cupid shuffle.

First Day of First Grade

Classic Mom - remembered the camera forgot the glasses that I had just cleaned for him.

Meet the Teacher

Tonight was meet the teacher night. Max was very excited to find out so many of his friends are in his class. In fact he has his best girlfriend on his right and a really good girlfriend on his left and another really good girlfriend in front of him. That poor teacher.

Christmas Train

We traveled to downtown Dallas to see the Disney Christmas Carol train tour. It is a train making its way across the country promoting the Disney remake of A Christmas Carol. Max had a great time going through the train, playing in the snow, and watching the 3D preview of the movie in an inflatable theater.

Great Wolf Lodge

We LOVED the Great Wolf Lodge. We only stayed one night but wow what a night. We booked the Kid Kamp room. It has a separate children's area with bunk beds, a tv, and cute theming.

The lodge had an 80,000 square foot indoor water park filled with all kinds of fun for Max. He rode everything his height would allow and loved them all.

His favorite part of the trip was playing the Magiquest game. You purchase a magic wand, receive instructions from a video wizard, then make your parents climb 8 flights of stairs over and over while you go on this massive treasure hunt. The game if very interactive and humorous. With the wand you make various paintings, books, lamps, treasure chests, etc.. - talk, open, light up, etc... There were a few pieces Max would do over and over again and just crack up.

Safety Town

Max visited Safety Town with a group of his friends from the neighborhood.

Circus

We got free tickets to the circus from Mommy's work. Max had a great time, his favorite was all the physical comedy done by the clowns and getting to wear a clown nose. He thought it was very cool that his friends had made it to the circus as well.

Snow Playdate

We hosted a snow playdate at our house. We had Magic snow for our neighborhood friends to make and take home and then snowcones and snow puffs for snacks.

Nighttime Twister

Sometimes when Daddy goes out of town Max will sleep with Mommy. Only Max gets to sleep on these nights because he does not stay still in the bed. It is like he is playing a game of twister all night long, which is exactly why he sleeps in a bed with sides on it otherwise he will roll off. Here is how he ended up in the morning.

Lego Mini Build - August

The mini build for August was a lobster. It was kinda tricky and we had to wait longer in line because it was taking everyone so long to get it built.

Once we had our lobster we went to play Luau Bingo at Chickfila. Max won a free kids meal and a stuffed cow.
