Tornado Hockey

Max loves going to Tornado Hockey games. We took him to a game and of course he had to bring his big horn that he purchased at his last tornado game. Over the past year he has managed to produce a pretty good sound out of that thing. Most adults have trouble. Did I mention it was free jersey night. This is what Max looked like the last period of the game.

Ice Ice Baby

We celebrated the New Year by heading over to the Gaylord Texan and going to see Ice. Ice is an exhibit at the various Gaylord Hotels. It consists of 2 million pounds of Ice and is kept at 9 degrees. Each visitor is handed a parka upon entering the exhibit. You walk through and see various sculptures carved out of ice. Our favorites are the Ice sled you can sit in, the nativity scene, and of course the ice slides.

Last year was our first year to see Ice and we couldn't get Max to stop licking the ice. He was much better this year although he couldn't resist sneaking a lick every now and then. Here he is caught in the act and also sliding. Sorry they are sideways - I forget that I can't turn my camera when I am recording video.
